Unicef
Bring back our child campaign
Facts & Results
The crisis in West & Central Africa, fueled by conflicts between Boko Haram, military forces, and civilian self-defense groups, had forced 800,000 children to flee their homes in search of safety. Many of the displaced children found shelter in host communities desperate for basic supplies, clean water, and health and nutrition services.
We were asked by UNICEF to join forces with many popular mainstream celebrities and social media personalities to raise awareness and funds to help these children and the desperate circumstances they were in.
OUR ROLE
Build an integrated strategy and brand that would be shareable and informative amongst several celebrities followerships.

Goal
Raise awareness of the conflict in West & Central Africa and the effect it had on the children of the region.
Our approach
We worked closely with the New York City, New York UNICEF office to make this campaign as effective as possible. We were also put in touch with several UNICEF staff members on the ground in Africa, as well as Manual Fontaine, UNICEF director for West and Central Africa.
At many of the camps, UNICEF uses drawing during psycho-social therapy sessions to help the escaped children open up about what they've seen and endured, and what they miss most. With permission, we shared some of the children's original drawings through various high-follower social media accounts.
